6-Quirky things about me...........


1- I am secretly in love with David Gray, ok, so it is not so much a secret, Matt does know. I can only blame him for it, he takes me to the concert every time that he is in town.


2-I am terrified of water! Not so much all water, just when I can't touch the bottom, I can't swim! So I have to rely on Matt for all of the swimming activities for Pete.


3- I am obsessed with shark week!! I love sharks, I just have to get over the fear of water before I can ever get in a shark cage & swim with them.


4- DIET COKE!!! What more needs to be said:)


5-I love the color PURPLE, never something I would really wear, but I think the color is great!!Sorry Amie, I hope that WE can still be friends.


6-I have a weird thing about things being open... It really bugs me when Matt or Pete leave the pantry door open, closet door open, basement door open, drawers open. Windows are ok, but it seems to drive me crazy!!!

My Little Jumping Bean!!!

Is no wonder that this kid has legs of steel! He jumps everywhere! His favorite thing to do lately is take the cushions off the couches in the house, pile them up and then jump into the pile! I am surprised that bumps and bruises are the only thing that we have dealt with this far......

and yes, the cars are always with him, they do not get dropped! They stay in those little hands of his 24-7!!

IT'S A ............

GIRL!!!!! Ok, so secretly I was hoping for another boy, but we could not be happier knowing it is a little girl! Crazy to think that I am already half way there! So I am lucky enough to see the perinatologist every month. So that means I will have awesome pictures to post & keep you all updated:) So anyone who has any good ideas on names for a girl let me know:)

Farewell to EDDIE!!

As most of you know we have a red tailed boa named Eddie! I have a love for snakes. I know that sounds kind of weird to some people, but it's an obsession I have had for a long time. Before Matt and I were married I had a ball python named Lucy that was HUGE, she was awesome until she passed away right before I met Matt. So our first x-mas married, Matt decided to get me Eddie, he is an awesome snake! Due to having Pete Eddie has been put on the back burner and needless to say neglected. So we said farewell to Eddie on Saturday night. He will now be living in Idaho with other exotic pets and getting the attention he needs. It was a bittersweet farewell and he will be missed. We love you Eddie! I know this picture is really AWESOME, right?

UTAH vs UNLV

What a Butt Whoppin' the Utes had over UNLV on Saturday! It was the first home game of the season and we killed them 42-21. What a fun game to be at! Beware to all teams that come to SLC enter RICE ECCLES STADIUM at your own risk!

VICTORY AT THE "BIG HOUSE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we have all heard by now about the Utes win over Michigan! Thanks to Matt's parents, Em & Jude, we were able to actually witness it up close! Ok not really that close, since the Ute seats went from row 85 to 97, but with how big that stadium is I don't think that there is a bad seat in that place! It was probably the funnest game I have ever been to! By the last 10 minutes of the 4th quarter I didn't even want to watch anymore, but they squeaked away with the win anyhow! We were all on the edge of our seats! We are soooo excited for this upcoming football season!! All that I can say is GO UTAH!!!!!! Check out that final score, KI YI!

Thank you sooo much to Em & Jude for making this all happen! I couldn't ask for better in-laws or grandparents for our little Pete!! You guys ROCK!!

Our best pals Kellie & Phil were actually able to tag along with us. Which made it all the more fun! We are counting down the days to our next out of state game, and hopefully be there for Notre Dame in 2010!!

GO TIGERS!!!

Our trip to Michigan started out with a tigers game! Like I have said before.... What is a trip without a baseball game?.....Besides all of the bugs and the bad park food, it was totally a BLAST!!! Comerica Park was probably one of the coolest ball parks that I have ever been too! They had these huge statues of tigers all over.

Our best pals, K-PHIL, luckily got to sit right by us! Since we bought the tickets from some scalper off the street, we couldn't get six together, so Em & Jude aren't too far away:)

Thanksgiving Point

So we did get together last Saturday with the Openshaws, Kellie, Phil & Drew, for a trip to see the gardens at Thanksgiving Point! What a nice day, not to hot , surprisingly. What fun times!! Obviously Pete does not look like he is having fun, he was just mad that we made him sit still for a picture:)

Pete and Drew had a GREAT time playing in the fountains, getting everyone wet around us! Crazy boys!

Best Little Buddies!!!

Pete and Drew are great little buddies! We try to get together with our pals, The Openshaws, every week for Cafe Rio Thursday. Since all of our favorite shows don't come on again until Sept. We have been slacking on our weekly activity:) So come Sept....... Kellie & Phil,we better be back on track:)

AUNT MYRNA!!!!

Aunt Myrna (aka Maren) came to visit us today. Pete absolutely LOVES his Myrna, it is sad to say, but I think she wins the FA award (favorite aunt) in Pete's eyes:)

FUNNY!!

I love this little boy sooooo much!!! Today when I was cleaning, he rides into the kitchen and says " Mommy I am a cowboy on my bike". I thought it was so funny just the way that he said it so seriously. I busted up laughing and took a couple quick pictures before he was off again. He has worn that hat all day long!

FUDGSICLE

This little boy LOVES Popsicles! That is all he would eat if I let him. It doesn't even matter what kind. Matt got these dark chocolate "Fudgsicles", which I think are really gross, but obviously Pete doesn't think that they are!!

SURPRISE!!!

To everyone that doesn't know........now you do!! Yes that is right Matt and I are expecting! I am officially 12wks along. I am due Feb 12th and sick as a dog!! I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end, but it seems like such a long road ahead! None the less I am so EXCITED! I am so grateful to even be able to have kids. Matt and I were told that we would never be able to, and now I am carrying my second miracle! AMAZING!!

PETE'S PHOTO'S

So aunt Jenn took the cutest pictures of Pete for her portfolio. She is amazing! The pictures turned out really good, but getting a 2 year old to hold still is a very hard task. We found that if we told Pete that there was a potato bug on Jenn's head he would stop and actually look at the camera! I love this little boy sooo much! Isn't he just the cutest?

Birthday Cake!!

So I know that Pete's birthday was almost 2 months ago, but I really wanted to try and make him a cake. So with my MAD decorating skills I managed to actually pull off a pretty good looking tractor. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. Probably won't be able to pull it off again, but at least I have pictures of this one:)

Sweet Pete

Pete got to ride in the middle of a parachute at his cousins birthday party.  He thought it was pretty cool to be tossed around in the air.

I LOVE SUNGLASSES!!!

Pete is so funny with these glasses! He loves to wear them around the house! He keeps popping one of the lenses out, and still wears them around. It is so funny!!

San Francisco

Matt took me to San Francisco for my birthday & our anniversary. It was a ton of fun! We were able to stay with Matt's aunt Jana and her family in Pleasanton, CA. I had never been before, what a great trip! Matt is going to have a hard time topping that birthday present!

Fishermans Warf. It is cazy to see all of these Sea Lions just hanging out all over the place.

ALCATRAZ ISLAND

We were able to go tour Alcatraz. It was so interesting to see. We had a guided tour that we listened to on headphones. It was crazy to listen to actual Prison guards and prisoners that talked on the headphones the whole time.

BASEBALL GAME

What is vacation without a baseball game?? We were able to go see the A's play the Angels. It was so fun! We did get alot of grief about Pete's hat but what can we say... GO SOX!!!
