MY PETE

Pete came home from church last week with a headband tied to his head....I asked him "Pete, why do you have that tied on your head"? his reply was "Mom, I am a stribbling oiler"... talk about a crack up! I love my little "stribbling oiler". (wish I would have got a picture)

....and a couple nieces:) I love my sisters and I seriously don't know what I would do without them. My nieces are the 2 right in the middle. I love how we are split- blonds vs. brunettes. I just love this picture so I had to share:) I love you Sage, Maren and Brooke. (and of course Maddie and Kendall)..:)

Captain Coco....

It was 8:00am on a Saturday morning(that is why Piper's mullet looks WAY awesome, I know) Pete found Captain Coco aka my nemesis!! I hate snails! They eat my plants! That being said.....

the kids love any creepy crawly thing and Pete comes up with the most awesome names. I seriously have no idea where they come from. Captain Coco was the snail, Kung Fu Caveman are what he names the Rollie pollies that he finds and the grasshoppers, well they are just Hopper or Hops. I love my kids!!

Swim Lessons!!

Gram has been taking Pete to swim lessons for the last couple weeks and I guess that he is doing great! My biggest fear was that he would freak out putting his face under water.....well obviously that is not the case:)

Swimming

I love the 4Th of July. It is seriously my favorite holiday of all time!! I love that it is warm outside and it is full of family and friends and amazing food everywhere you go!! We got to go swimming at Jenn's (my sister-in law) parents house for Coltons b-day. The kids LOVED it. And lets not lie, so did the adults:)

My sweet little Piper was a mad women! At this age Pete was a little nervous about the water and cry when we would drag him in the pool, but not my Piper! She would jump right in! Even if I wasn't paying attention. Makes me a little nervous. Thanks Jenn for the great pictures that I stole off your blog:)

Pete's spring show

Pete had a spring show up at Wheeler Farm for preschool. It was so stinkin cute!!

The plus about "the mullet"

First of all I have to apologize for the blurriness of these pictures. They are taken with my phone (no, I don't have one of those high tech phones that pass as a camera, Ipod, computer etc...)

Also most of you do know how "easy" it is to get a 15month old to hold still while you are trying to get a picture... with that being said.....

Piper, my little sweet drama queen, has been struggling the past few months with a hair ordeal!! I have tried numerous times to do piggy tails, but her hair is so soft and I could never get the elastic to stay in. So we just wash it and leave it. I have heard so many things like: "cut that hair" or "I love her hair! It totally shows her personality" or my personal favorite " that is one wicked mullet" Which is the truth!

Well of course I don't want my little girl looking like a hillbilly rocker from the eighties, but I also didn't want to cut her hair! She is my 'little girl' people, I want her to look like one! I have been weighing the options when one day while my sister Sage(the hairstylist) was watching my kids, she sent me this picture. With a little help from my sister I have learned how to make it work with the softest of hair. Don't get me wrong, I do know how to do hair, I grew up with 3 sisters! This has just been a little difficult:) So she still does have the business up front but........

Man! Can she rock the party in the back!!!
