LIL' PIP-SQUEAK

Jenn (my awesome sis in law) did a great photoshoot of our little Piper, these pictures turned out so cute. I had to post them....yeah, to pretty much show her off:) Pete was such a great baby- never spit up slept 4-5 hrs a night at 2 weeks old, I wasn't expecting that I would get so lucky to have 2 kids like that, but I have. Piper is following right in his footsteps! Yeah for me!! She is such a great baby, not quite as good as Pete was but pretty darn close.

It's Amazing

I know that this may sound dumb,but, I was actually really worried about having another baby because how could I love anything more then I love Pete? Well it's amazing how big your heart grows and how much love that it holds.



I am so very blessed with the 2 little angels in my life, and the family that Matt and I have together.

Piper Emery

We thought it only fitting that little Piper was born Fri the 13th. Matt and I were married on Fri the 13th, and Pete was only 30 mins away from being born on 06/06/06. All good things for us Emery's! We are so grateful for our little addition and what a blessing it is to have her here.

OK so I know that football season is over, but it has been so long since I have posted anything, so I think that it is still ok to be excited about the most AWESOME season of football,(next to the 2004 season),What a great year for the Utes! Sorry Fossum Family but maybe it's time to turn RED:)


I just think Gage & Pete looked so cute in their blue & red pj's!!What fun little cousins and best friends:)

We went over to my brothers house Sunday night and Jenn turned on a Christmas cartoon....needless to say the boys were hooked!! They are the best little buddies ever.


The popcorn was a total hit!!

Fun in the tub!!

Everytime we take a bath Pete goes downstairs, grabs a handful of cars and puts them in the tub, then goes back downstairs, and grabs more cars. After about 3 trips then he is ready to take his bath.I think that he would live in there if I let him.


He will line then all up on the side of the tub and then knock them all back in the tub splashing water everywhere. Luckily Ebbet is right there licking up all the water on the floor:)

We will miss you!!!

The greatest Dr I know passed away this week of Lou Gehrigs disease. He was diagnosed last summer, and passed away this week. He was a good friend of the family, and he absolutely loved his job, bringing babies into this world. He seemed more excited by the birth of your baby then even you were! I am so sad that he will not be around for the birth this baby. He will be missed not only by us, but hundreds of other people whose lives were touched, just like ours. We love you Dr. Greg Gordon and you will be missed by everyone!

Crack me up!!

A few weeks ago Matt went around to pick up the food donations for the scouts, and he used my brothers Zach's four wheeler. Pete was obsessed with the "motorcycle", so Matt let Pete ride with him to return it, since Zach only lives 2 miles from our house. Pete cried and cried when he left Zach's house in the car and not the "motorcycle". I am just glad that Zach has all the fun toys.

I know these aren't the best quality, since they were taken with Matt's phone. I just think that it is so funny that Pete has to be like his daddy, riding on four wheelers, even down to wearing sun glasses in the car.

Even the expression looks like his daddy:)

Pete has a new home.

So a couple weeks ago we took Pete to build a bear. We had a gift card that Matt's aunt gave us for Pete's first birthday, and we thought he was a bit to young to us it. So almost a year and half later we took him, he absolutely loved it. I just didn't know that he would like the little cardboard house more then the actual stuffed animal!!

I just thought that the bug eye glasses were a hoot, so I had to post this pic:)

I learned how to steal.....

Yeah, so I learned how to steal photos from other peoples blogs. I figured since I didn't have a picture of Sedgwick being Matt on Halloween, I would just steal the one that she posted on her blog:) Her costume was so real Matt thought that he was looking into a mirror!! Ki! Yi! Sedgwick! Sorry Brittney, but it saved me from coming over there and making you dress up again for me:)

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween was pretty fun this year, other then it took a few days for Pete to even be around Matt's monkey mask. That thing is creepy, and every time Pete would lay eyes on it he would say "Daddy, put it away". Pete finally got over the fear, it may still give me nightmares, but Pete is ok with it:) Isn't he the cutest little Pirate!!?

We had Zach and Jenn over to trick or treat in our neighborhood ( it is the greatest neighborhood ever!) . Gage and Colt did not seem to have any problem with the mask. Thank you to Sage & Sky for taking the little ones around while we got dinner ready, I am really sorry if your house was one of the houses that Pete felt free to just walk in and make himself at home, sorry about that:) Matt just sat on the porch all night wearing that mask scaring all the little kids. All and all it was a great Halloween:)!

Also I need to comment on Brittney Sedgwick's costume--AWESOME!! I wish I would have got a picture of it. You made a great "Matt Emery, Ute fan". We loved it! You guys ROCK!!! Go Utes!!

6-Quirky things about me...........


1- I am secretly in love with David Gray, ok, so it is not so much a secret, Matt does know. I can only blame him for it, he takes me to the concert every time that he is in town.


2-I am terrified of water! Not so much all water, just when I can't touch the bottom, I can't swim! So I have to rely on Matt for all of the swimming activities for Pete.


3- I am obsessed with shark week!! I love sharks, I just have to get over the fear of water before I can ever get in a shark cage & swim with them.


4- DIET COKE!!! What more needs to be said:)


5-I love the color PURPLE, never something I would really wear, but I think the color is great!!Sorry Amie, I hope that WE can still be friends.


6-I have a weird thing about things being open... It really bugs me when Matt or Pete leave the pantry door open, closet door open, basement door open, drawers open. Windows are ok, but it seems to drive me crazy!!!

My Little Jumping Bean!!!

Is no wonder that this kid has legs of steel! He jumps everywhere! His favorite thing to do lately is take the cushions off the couches in the house, pile them up and then jump into the pile! I am surprised that bumps and bruises are the only thing that we have dealt with this far......

and yes, the cars are always with him, they do not get dropped! They stay in those little hands of his 24-7!!

IT'S A ............

GIRL!!!!! Ok, so secretly I was hoping for another boy, but we could not be happier knowing it is a little girl! Crazy to think that I am already half way there! So I am lucky enough to see the perinatologist every month. So that means I will have awesome pictures to post & keep you all updated:) So anyone who has any good ideas on names for a girl let me know:)

Farewell to EDDIE!!

As most of you know we have a red tailed boa named Eddie! I have a love for snakes. I know that sounds kind of weird to some people, but it's an obsession I have had for a long time. Before Matt and I were married I had a ball python named Lucy that was HUGE, she was awesome until she passed away right before I met Matt. So our first x-mas married, Matt decided to get me Eddie, he is an awesome snake! Due to having Pete Eddie has been put on the back burner and needless to say neglected. So we said farewell to Eddie on Saturday night. He will now be living in Idaho with other exotic pets and getting the attention he needs. It was a bittersweet farewell and he will be missed. We love you Eddie! I know this picture is really AWESOME, right?

UTAH vs UNLV

What a Butt Whoppin' the Utes had over UNLV on Saturday! It was the first home game of the season and we killed them 42-21. What a fun game to be at! Beware to all teams that come to SLC enter RICE ECCLES STADIUM at your own risk!

VICTORY AT THE "BIG HOUSE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we have all heard by now about the Utes win over Michigan! Thanks to Matt's parents, Em & Jude, we were able to actually witness it up close! Ok not really that close, since the Ute seats went from row 85 to 97, but with how big that stadium is I don't think that there is a bad seat in that place! It was probably the funnest game I have ever been to! By the last 10 minutes of the 4th quarter I didn't even want to watch anymore, but they squeaked away with the win anyhow! We were all on the edge of our seats! We are soooo excited for this upcoming football season!! All that I can say is GO UTAH!!!!!! Check out that final score, KI YI!

Thank you sooo much to Em & Jude for making this all happen! I couldn't ask for better in-laws or grandparents for our little Pete!! You guys ROCK!!

Our best pals Kellie & Phil were actually able to tag along with us. Which made it all the more fun! We are counting down the days to our next out of state game, and hopefully be there for Notre Dame in 2010!!

GO TIGERS!!!

Our trip to Michigan started out with a tigers game! Like I have said before.... What is a trip without a baseball game?.....Besides all of the bugs and the bad park food, it was totally a BLAST!!! Comerica Park was probably one of the coolest ball parks that I have ever been too! They had these huge statues of tigers all over.

Our best pals, K-PHIL, luckily got to sit right by us! Since we bought the tickets from some scalper off the street, we couldn't get six together, so Em & Jude aren't too far away:)
